X-CASE Engineering Highlights

Huber & Ranner sets the standard not just in general performance, but in every single detail. Our “X-CASE” series is the result of decades of engineering evolution. Every screw, every seal, and every profile serves a specific purpose: Maximizing stability, hygiene, and efficiency.

1. Stability & Construction

Frame Profile Construction The X-CASE is a clear winner in terms of stability. The core is formed by a 2mm thick steel sheet reinforced with additional angles. This robust skeleton is the foundation of the unit’s enormous performance potential—a solution that is both solid and innovative.

50mm Wall Thickness We do not compromise on insulation. The standard material thickness is 50mm. This extended profile frame construction guarantees superior thermal insulation and maximum mechanical stability.

Thermal Decoupling (TB1) We have integrated proven elements into innovative technology. Our proprietary profile design minimizes thermal bridging to an absolute minimum. The specialized perforation pattern effectively decouples the inner and outer shells, ensuring top-tier thermal performance.

Module Connections We replaced conventional screw connections with a robust, custom-engineered coupling system. This solid connection element ensures a perfectly aligned, air-tight, and hygienic assembly of the modules.

Lifting Eyes Practicality starts before operation. All our units are supplied with integrated lifting eyes to facilitate transport and crane handling. This modular, installer-friendly design significantly reduces assembly time and costs on site.

Hygiene & Tightness –The Clean Concept Our goal was simple: stronger walls, intelligent profiles, and zero internal obstructions. By moving all panel screw connections to the exterior, we eliminated unnecessary resistance in the airflow. Result: Perfectly smooth internal surfaces that define the new standard for hygiene.

Dual-Chamber Seal To achieve superior tightness, we developed a specific dual-chamber seal. This component performs a double function: it ensures very low leakage values (airtightness) and simultaneously eliminates thermal bridging. Benefit twice.

Hygienic Panel Screws No protruding parts. No dirt traps. Since all screw connections are relocated to the exterior, the interior housing consists of completely even surfaces. The airflow passes through the system without resistance, preventing dust accumulation and facilitating easy cleaning.

Hygienic Floor Due to its seamless, even surface, the floor of our AHUs complies with the highest hygiene standards. It is fully walkable without the need for additional gratings or measures.

Stainless Steel Drain Tray Hygiene where it matters most: The condensate drain tray is made of stainless steel and is sloped in all directions to ensure complete drainage. For added safety, it is equipped with a double overflow protection system to handle temporary blockages or system surges.

Hygienic Droplet Separator The cassettes of our droplet separator are suspended on stainless steel rails for easy removal. The open construction underneath ensures that no condensate gets trapped—the ideal solution for maintenance and hygiene.

3. Operation & Maintenance

Ergonomic Door Handles Security meets comfort. Our inspection doors feature ergonomic handles that shift all mechanics to the outside. This means less heat transfer (thermal bridge free) and zero airflow resistance inside the unit.

Inspection Doors & Seals Simple, but brilliant: The rubber seal is not applied to the doorframe, but encircles the door itself, minimizing abrasion and wear. The hollow chamber seal, frame, door, and hinges work in perfect harmony to ensure long-term tightness.

High-Quality Inspection Windows Visibility without energy loss. We use only double-glazed windows (200mm diameter) that offer durability and high heat insulation. Integrated into a special seal profile, the panes are protected against condensation.

Maintenance Rail Designed for the lone technician: Our internal maintenance rail system allows heavy components—such as motors, fans, or heaters—to be changed by a single person without the need for heavy external lifting equipment.

Equipotential Bonding Safety comes standard. Equipotential bonding (grounding) is pre-installed on all relevant components, saving your electricians time and ensuring immediate electrical safety.

HY-Light (LED System) Lighting optimized for hygiene. Our energy-saving LED system is seamlessly integrated into the housing. Crucially, the cable routing is located outside the airflow, leaving the interior surface smooth and cleanable.
